Teak or acacia
Teak is the premium choice: natural oils, 25 years outdoors with no treatment, silvers gracefully. Acacia offers 70 percent of the durability at roughly 40 percent of the cost, when it is properly dried and oiled; it is the volume wood for garden retailers. We do not sell untreated rubberwood or pine for outdoor use.

Boards dried to 10 to 12 percent for outdoor use, with end-grain sealed before assembly.
Hardware that does not rust
A2 stainless bolts and brass or stainless fittings; galvanised only when the price point demands it and you approve it.
Finish
Teak oil, hardwax oil or left natural; paint systems for pine accessories. Finish panel approved before the run.
Packing
Knock-down in 5-ply cartons with hardware kits and instructions, or assembled on pallets for projects. ISPM-15 pallets.
